4 Mar 2007 - Eclipse

The recent Total Lunar eclipse was clearly seen over Littlethorpe, during an unusually cloudless night. It commenced around 10.30pm on the evening of 3rd March.
The phenomenon occurs when the earth passes directly between the moon and the sun. The picture on the right shows the stages of a lunar eclipse, though on this occasion the colour change was not very dramatic.
