Minutes of Parish Council Meeting Tuesday 28th August 2007 @ 18.30 hrs

Present: Cllr W Orme (Chair), J Wardle, J Jowitt, DO Connell, C Laker

2. Declaration of Interest None

3. Adoptionof Parish Council Meeting 10th July 2007
Item 13f to be amended to £500 before inclusion on website. Cllr Laker proposed acceptance,seconded by Cllr Jowitt. Amendedminutes approved by council

4. ModelCode of Conduct dated 4th August 2007
Cllr Laker confirmed the revised code, issued by the Standards Board for England, must be adopted by PCs by 1st October otherwise the provisions would automatically cover council members. Cllr Laker proposed and Cllr Wardle seconded adoption of this revised code.

Agreed by Council

The decision would be communicated to HBC by Cllr Laker (acting Clerk). HBC would publish confirmation of this via a public notice in the Ripon Gazette

5. Adoptionof Paragraph 12(2) of Model Code of Conduct dated 4th August 2007
Cllr Laker confirmed this amendment would allow a cllr with a prejudicial interest to speak to the meeting on the issue as a member of the public: the cllr however, would need to leave the meeting before the main discussion and vote. Cllr Orme proposed adoption ofthis amendment, seconded by Cllr Wardle.

The resolution was passed by Council
